beautiful day for a run

Saturday morning I joined Team World Vision for their first training run of the season. It was sunny and warm, running along the lake front almost feels like a right of passage. The people and dog watching was great; but I missed the birds chirping.

Overall I ran a slower pace than I’m used to; it felt a little restrictive so I’ll probably move up next week.  Running in a group is very different than solo. Not only is there the conversation factor but there’s and effort to NOT step on anyone’s shoes, and being by the lake you also need to be mindful of cyclist and not being hit by them.

Afterwards we had breakfast as a sticky, sweaty (smelly) group.  They are such a nice group of people! And the restaurant’s table layout was spacious enough to keep the other patrons at bay.
